Harbor Fog 3'x4'
When fog gathers in Boston Harbor, the city and islands become obscured behind a wavering blanket of bright cloud. From my window, I watch the city poke though but only momentarily before being consumed again. Islands emerge and appear closer or farther than usual. Structures stand out stark against fog banks that disguise buildings in the background.
‘Harbor Fog’ is an interpretation of this fragile and undulating harbor scape. Beach litter includes:
buoys
lobster trap
lobster ID tags
fishing rope
fishing net
aluminum can
vinyl siding
bungee cord
plastic bottles
cardboard
bicycle reflector
plastic utensils
beach ball
Construction debris includes
acrylic paint
floor adhesive
nails
screws
plaster
