In the Pink 3'x3'
‘In the Pink’ began, as much of my work does, as an inspiration based on a particular piece of trash- the foam that runs vertically up the painting like a spine. I cut it- which strangely is a frightening process for me. I fear that I may ruin my coved hunk of beach pollution! But I press on and allow the pieces to take shape as a rough aerial view of a portion of the Hull peninsula- the grid of streets known as the alphabets and the surrounding ocean. Equally, it could be nothing- or a form organic like a milkweed pod. that’s why I left its title ambiguous.
*Please note that the color of the pink is rich and vibrant which may not be reflected accurately on your computer screen.
